The Return of the Son of Z

Yes, it's here at last! Son of Z has returned to the family hovel! His girlfriend (now ex-) found out that he cheated on her and has thrown him out!

He decided to clear out his bedroom, untouched since his departure. He discovered a full wardrobe of designer clothes that he no longer wants and is set to recycle them. Amongst these treasures was an Imelda Marcos-like collection of trainers, hardly worn. Luckily he and I share the same shoe-size This may mean that I never need to buy trainers again!! And I need a new pair.

It does, however, make me think. MOst men have four pairs of shoes, max. Trainers, wellies, boots and shoes (for a special occasion.) Why has he got so many items of footwear? Is he normal?

I dont have many shoes but if you want to know about shoe cllections i suggest you ask Mags. she has more than Imelda Marcos had.

I seem to remember her mentioning it once. But she's a woman. Women do that sort of thing. Son of Z is male.

Thanks, Pixie, I don't have that much interest in women's shoes. My mind is on higher things..

However, should she require trainers, size 10, I'm sure I can arrange it!!

Kwak, by "normal", I meant like you, CP and myself. Not sure about Mags, after CP's comment about her footwear collection, but as she is a woman, I supose that I must accept that she is normal for a woman.

BTW Are we four the only normal people in Tod?
It's just occurred to me. Is my son showing his "feminine side"? He must get that from his mother!!

1. CP if you don't want the same marks on your back every time I have to change my heel style and as sometimes it is necessary to tower over you I also have to have various heel heights. Then there is the problem of whether they need to slip off easily or not and how good they look with stockings. So I suggest you shurrup about my shoes or you may find that you have a very boring nightlife.

2. Z moan about him coming back home not the amount of shoes he has and I might sympathise.

Even more fun! He 's just discovered off Facebook that his ex had a party last night, and some of the male gender were invited!! He now wants me to intervene!

You can moan all you like to me honey just not about shoes because shoes are a reason for living and the search for the perfect pair goes on

1 pair black leather
1 pair boots
1 pair wellies (East German army surplus jackboots, really)
1 pair trainers, just purloined from SoZ
3 pairs trainers (decrepit)
1 pair slippers (Xmas pressie from Mrs Z a couple of years back.)

I have all that I need!
BTW, where can I find a good cobbler? My shoes could do with repairing.

Kwak and Tiger aren't really cobblers, though. They just talk it. Is that place where you take your shoes when they get worn out? Not being personal, just want to know if they're any good. NOt used a cobblers for a long time. Mrs Z always said I should buy another pair, but it's cheaper to get them mended.
I have to buy socks now, cos I'm not good at darning.
