As is well-known, an area's post-code does not always correspond to its administrative county. It is merely a convenience for the Royal Mail. If that is your only evidence for the spurious claim that Todmorden is part of Lancashire, then you must be extremely naïf.
I should like to point out that Todmorden is part of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, and is widely recognised as such, that it is part of the diocese of Wakefield, YORKSHIRE, that the boundary changes of 1888 establish it as Yorkshire, that road signs on two main exit roads announce that you are entering Lancashire, and on the third that you are entering the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.
Even your sole evidence about the POst-code doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Oldham MBC is part of GREATER MANCHESTER, and not of Lancashire.
So your mantraic chanting of the post-code is irrelevant.
